Vintage handknotted Yomut wool rug (113 x 185 cm) reflects the bold tribal artistry of the Yomud tribe in the Balkan province of Turkmenistan. Woven in the 1970s by two master artisans using premium Saryja sheep’s wool, this red geometric rug carries history, elegance, and lasting strength in every knot.
With approx. 210 knots per square inch and a medium pile thickness, this rug is both dense and soft underfoot. Its timeless geometric pattern, rich red tones, and vintage authenticity make it an excellent addition to living rooms, studies, or heritage-inspired interiors.
This Yomut rug is not just decor — it's a collectible textile treasure built to last generations.
Please ignore any creases on the rug, as these are due to it being tightly packed during transit. The creases will naturally disappear within about a week once the rug is laid flat and walked upon.
